# What AI assistants say about you

More buyers ask an assistant than search, and there is no console for that. **Search & AI › What assistants say about you** is the nearest thing: switch it on, and every week the questions a buyer would type are put to each assistant, with the answers graded.

## How to read it

- **Share** per assistant: in how many of the prompts you were named at all, from the latest run.
- **Per prompt**: named or not, your rank among the products the answer recommends, the sentiment about you, the other products it named, the sentence that names you, and the pages it cited.

Read it next to the **AI referrals** card beside it: being named is the cause, the visits from assistants are the effect. **Run now** asks again without waiting for the week. Answers change from run to run even with nothing changed on your side, so watch the trend, not one week.

> **Tip.** The mention terms you track for social mentions are also used here, so an old product name or a common misspelling counts as being named.

## Frequently asked questions

### Which assistants are asked?

ChatGPT through the OpenAI API, using its web-search model when the account has it, and Perplexity when the server has a Perplexity key. Answers are graded by a second model call so the page can say named or not, position, sentiment and competitors.

### Where do the prompts come from?

The first run generates eight buyer questions from the site name, domain and tracked mention terms. You can edit them any time under Prompts; up to 20 are asked each week.
