# Share a dashboard

> Give a teammate, a client or the whole internet a read-only view of a site, with a link, a password or a public page.

Statsy dashboards are meant to be shown. You can invite someone into the workspace, hand out a link that needs no account, or publish a page anyone can open. All three are read-only for the person receiving them.

## Pick a visibility

Open **Site settings › Sharing**. One setting decides who can see the site's dashboard:

| Visibility | Who can see it |
| --- | --- |
| Only your team | Nobody outside this workspace. This is the default, and share links stop working. |
| People with a link | Anyone holding a share link you created. Each link can be open, or password protected. |
| Everyone | A public page at `/p/<your domain>` that search engines can index. Links keep working too. |

## Choose what shows

A shared dashboard shows aggregate numbers only. Visitor lists, journeys and session replays are never included, whatever you choose. Visitors, pageviews, bounce rate, session length and the visitors trend are always shown. Everything else is a switch: every breakdown or just the headline cards, goals and conversions, revenue, whether viewers may add their own filters, and whether the live globe is included.

> **Tip.** Revenue is the one to think about twice. Investors and clients usually want it; a public page on your marketing site usually does not. It is a separate switch, so you can publish traffic and keep the money private.

## Share links

Each share link can have its own name — only you see it — so you can tell which one you gave to whom, and each one counts how many times the dashboard was opened. You can also give a link:

- A **password**, of at least 10 characters. Changing it signs out everyone who had unlocked it, while the address stays the same.
- An **expiry date**, after which the link stops working on its own.

Revoke a link at any time and anyone using it loses access immediately. Your other links are unaffected.

## Put it on your own page

A public dashboard comes with an embed snippet, so the numbers can live inside your own site — an open-startup page, a status page, a client portal. The snippet takes a theme parameter, so it can match a light or dark page. The [live globe](https://statsy.co/docs/features/live-globe) can be embedded the same way, and has its own public page at `/p/<your domain>/live` when you allow it.
