Statsy is web analytics with revenue attribution. It ties every sale to the post, search or campaign that brought the buyer.

## Statsy at a glance

- **What it is:** Analytics, revenue attribution, replays and heatmaps
- **Built for:** Founders, marketers and small teams
- **Price:** [From $9 a month, 14-day free trial](https://statsy.co/pricing)
- **Script:** About 3 KB gzipped
- **Revenue from:** Stripe, Lemon Squeezy, Paddle, Polar, Razorpay
- **Privacy:** Cookieless for EU, UK and Swiss visitors
- **Data kept:** Up to 3 years while your plan is active
- **AI access:** MCP server, CLI and REST API

## How does Statsy work?

A small script records each visit and where it came from. Checkout links carry an anonymous visitor id to your payment provider. When the provider confirms a sale by signed webhook, Statsy credits that sale to the visits and channels that led there.

1. **Add one script.** Paste one tag, or ask your AI coding agent to. Visits show up within seconds.
2. **Connect payments.** Add a webhook from Stripe, Lemon Squeezy, Paddle, Polar or Razorpay.
3. **See revenue by source.** Each sale is credited to the post, search or campaign behind it.

## What will you notice first?

Six moments from a normal week with Statsy: a sale traced back to the post that started it, a traffic spike explained, a question answered from your own numbers, visitors counted despite ad blockers, a browser warming up to buy, and history that reaches back before install day.

## What can you see in Statsy?

The analytics you expect, with revenue wired through it: visitors, sources and pages next to sales, customers and refunds for every channel and campaign. Live visitors, replays and heatmaps show what buyers did, and alerts tell you when something changes.

- **Revenue by channel.** Five attribution models, with refunds and renewals counted.
- **Live visitors.** Who is here now, where from, and how likely to buy.
- **Replays that paid.** Watch what buyers did before checkout.
- **Money heatmaps.** See which clicks came before a purchase.
- **Goals and funnels.** Find the step where people drop off.

Also included: Site search and downloads, captured automatically, Visitor journeys, Alerts, Email reports, Search Console keywords, City-level locations, CSV export and share links.

## How does Statsy decide which channel gets credit?

Pick one of five attribution models and a lookback window of 1 to 365 days. Revenue comes only from signed payment webhooks or the Payment API, never from amounts sent by the browser, so a returning customer never erases the campaign that found them.

| Model | How credit is split |
| --- | --- |
| Last touch | 100% of the credit goes to the last touch before the payment. |
| First touch | 100% goes to the first touch inside the lookback window. |
| Linear | Every touch gets an equal share. |
| Time decay | Touches closer to the payment get more. Weight halves every 7 days, normalised to 100%. |
| Position based | 40% to the first touch, 40% to the last, and 20% shared by the touches in between. |

## Can you ask an AI assistant about your Statsy data?

Yes. Connect Claude, Cursor or VS Code through Statsy’s MCP server, approve access, and ask which channels brought paying customers last month or why revenue dropped. Answers come from your real numbers. There is also a CLI and a REST API.

- Access you approve, limited to your workspace
- Answers from your real numbers
- Create goals and notes from chat

## Does Statsy need cookies or a consent banner?

Not for visitors who expect privacy. In Auto mode, EU, EEA, UK and Swiss visitors, and browsers with Global Privacy Control, are counted without cookies. Everyone else gets a first-party cookie so payments can be matched. Check the rules that apply to your site.

- **Cookieless where it matters.** EU, EEA, UK and Swiss visitors, and Global Privacy Control, are counted with a daily anonymous key. Nothing is stored in their browser.
- **No cross-site tracking.** No fingerprinting across websites, no ad networks, no selling data.
- **Private by default.** Replays mask form inputs. IP addresses are used for location, then discarded.

## How does Statsy compare with other analytics tools?

Choose Statsy when the question is which channels bring paying customers. Google Analytics 4, Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity fit better for free unlimited recordings, surveys, open source or Google Ads bidding. Here is an honest summary, checked against each vendor’s pages.

| If you need | Statsy | Where else to look |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Revenue by channel from your payment provider | Yes. Five providers by webhook, five attribution models | Google Analytics 4 reads purchase events your site sends and offers data-driven and last-click models ([Google](https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/10596866)) |
| Free replays and heatmaps at any traffic | Included on every plan; replays record a sample of sessions plus high-intent ones | Microsoft Clarity is free with no limits on traffic ([Microsoft](https://clarity.microsoft.com/)) |
| Surveys and feedback widgets | Not included | Hotjar lists basic surveys on its free plan ([Contentsquare](https://contentsquare.com/pricing/)) |
| Open source or self-hosting | Not available; Statsy is hosted | Plausible Community Edition and Umami can be self-hosted ([Plausible](https://plausible.io/), [Umami](https://umami.is/)) |

## Frequently asked questions

### What is Statsy?

Statsy (statsy.co) is web analytics with revenue attribution. It shows visitors, sources and pages like other analytics tools, and connects each payment from Stripe, Lemon Squeezy, Paddle, Polar or Razorpay to the channel that brought the buyer.

### Who is Statsy for?

Founders, marketers and small teams with a live website who want to know which channels bring paying customers, not just visitors, and who would rather see it on one dashboard than stitch tools together.

### How does the free trial work?

Add your website and every feature is on straight away, and nothing is charged during the trial. When it ends, pick a plan to keep making changes; data keeps arriving either way. Plans start at $9 a month and are priced by monthly events, see [pricing](https://statsy.co/pricing).

### Will it slow down my site?

No. The script is about 3 KB gzipped, loads with defer and sends events in the background, so it never blocks your page from rendering. Replay and heatmap modules load only when you turn them on.

### Do I need a cookie banner?

Statsy can run without cookies. In Auto mode, visitors from the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, and anyone sending Global Privacy Control, are counted with a daily rotating anonymous key. You stay responsible for your own notices. Our [cookie policy](https://statsy.co/cookies) lists what each mode sets.

### Which attribution models does Statsy support?

Last touch, first touch, linear, time decay and position based. You pick a lookback window from 1 to 365 days, 90 by default, and can switch models on the same data to compare.

### Is Statsy a Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity alternative?

For replays and heatmaps, yes, with one difference: Statsy connects them to payments, so you can watch sessions that paid. It has no surveys. See the [Hotjar alternative comparison](https://statsy.co/hotjar-alternative).

### Can I use it alongside Google Analytics?

Yes. Many people run both while they compare numbers. Statsy does not interfere with Google Analytics 4 or any other analytics tool, so you can remove either one whenever you are ready.

### Does Statsy sell or share my data?

No. Your analytics data is yours. We use it only to run the service for you, we never sell it or use it for advertising, and you can export or delete it at any time.

### Does Statsy store IP addresses?

No. The IP address is used to look up country, region and city, and in cookieless mode for a daily key whose secret is deleted after two days. The address itself is never stored.

### Does Statsy have an MCP server?

Yes. Statsy hosts a Model Context Protocol server at statsy.co/mcp. Connect Claude Code, the Claude app, Cursor or VS Code, approve access once in the dashboard, and ask about traffic, revenue by channel, funnels and visitors. See [AI analytics with MCP](https://statsy.co/ai-analytics-mcp).

### Is there a Statsy command line tool?

Yes. Install it with `npm install -g @statsy.co/cli`. The `statsy` command prints overviews, breakdowns, funnels, live visitors, attribution and CSV exports, with a `--json` flag for scripts. See the [CLI reference](https://statsy.co/docs/developers/cli).

### Is Statsy the same as Statsig?

No. Statsy (statsy.co) is a separate product: web analytics with revenue attribution, replays and heatmaps for websites. It is operated by Meek Media LLP and is not affiliated with Statsig.
