Every sale comes with its story
Follow a payment back through the newsletter that closed it, the post that found them and the search that started it. Five models, refunds counted.
Statsy is web analytics with revenue attribution. It ties every sale to the post, search or campaign that brought the buyer.
How it works
A small script records each visit and where it came from. Checkout links carry an anonymous visitor id to your payment provider. When the provider confirms a sale by signed webhook, Statsy credits that sale to the visits and channels that led there.
Paste one tag, or ask your AI coding agent to. Visits show up within seconds.
Add a webhook from Stripe, Lemon Squeezy, Paddle, Polar or Razorpay.
Each sale is credited to the post, search or campaign behind it.

See it work
Six moments from a normal week with Statsy: a sale traced back to the post that started it, a traffic spike explained, a question answered from your own numbers, visitors counted despite ad blockers, a browser warming up to buy, and history that reaches back before install day.

Spikes
Unusual days light up on the chart, and Statsy checks whether a mention on X, Reddit or Hacker News is the reason.
Ask
Ask in plain words. Answers come from your own data, scoped to your workspace, with the tables to back them up.
First-party proxy
One DNS record serves the script from your own domain. Around a third of visitors stop disappearing.
Live intent
Each person on your site gets a purchase likelihood from your own past buyers. Filter the live view to the ones worth a reply.
Imports
Bring 14 months from Google Analytics 4 or a Plausible export. Your charts do not start empty.
Product
The analytics you expect, with revenue wired through it: visitors, sources and pages next to sales, customers and refunds for every channel and campaign. Live visitors, replays and heatmaps show what buyers did, and alerts tell you when something changes.
Five attribution models, with refunds and renewals counted.

Attribution
Pick one of five attribution models and a lookback window of 1 to 365 days. Revenue comes only from signed payment webhooks or the Payment API, never from amounts sent by the browser, so a returning customer never erases the campaign that found them.
| Model | How credit is split |
|---|---|
| Last touch | 100% of the credit goes to the last touch before the payment. |
| First touch | 100% goes to the first touch inside the lookback window. |
| Linear | Every touch gets an equal share. |
| Time decay | Touches closer to the payment get more. Weight halves every 7 days, normalised to 100%. |
| Position based | 40% to the first touch, 40% to the last, and 20% shared by the touches in between. |
Ask, don’t dig
Yes. Connect Claude, Cursor or VS Code through Statsy’s MCP server, approve access, and ask which channels brought paying customers last month or why revenue dropped. Answers come from your real numbers. There is also a CLI and a REST API.
Privacy by design
Not for visitors who expect privacy. In Auto mode, EU, EEA, UK and Swiss visitors, and browsers with Global Privacy Control, are counted without cookies. Everyone else gets a first-party cookie so payments can be matched. Check the rules that apply to your site.
Honest comparison
Choose Statsy when the question is which channels bring paying customers. Google Analytics 4, Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity fit better for free unlimited recordings, surveys, open source or Google Ads bidding. Here is an honest summary, checked against each vendor’s pages.
| If you need | Statsy | Where else to look |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue by channel from your payment provider | Yes. Five providers by webhook, five attribution models | Google Analytics 4 reads purchase events your site sends and offers data-driven and last-click models (Google) |
| Free replays and heatmaps at any traffic | Included on every plan; replays record a sample of sessions plus high-intent ones | Microsoft Clarity is free with no limits on traffic (Microsoft) |
| Surveys and feedback widgets | Not included | Hotjar lists basic surveys on its free plan (Contentsquare) |
| Open source or self-hosting | Not available; Statsy is hosted | Plausible Community Edition and Umami can be self-hosted (Plausible, Umami) |
