Ask in plain English
Open the Ask drawer from the sidebar and ask your site anything; the answer is built from your numbers, with the queries it ran listed above it.
Ask about this site in the sidebar opens a drawer. Type a question the way you would ask a colleague, for example “which channels brought paying customers last month?”, and the answer streams in, with a line above it naming the queries it ran.
It is the same set of read-only tools the MCP server gives Claude or Cursor, so an answer here and an answer in your editor agree. It never writes anything: goals and notes are still created by you.
Tip. Ask needs an OpenAI-compatible key on the server (
OPENAI_API_KEY); without one the drawer says so instead of failing quietly.
Frequently asked questions
Does the assistant make numbers up?
No. It answers only by running the same read-only queries the MCP tools expose (overview, trend, breakdowns, attribution, subscriptions, bots, goals, funnels) and says which ones it ran. Anything it cannot look up, it says it cannot.
Is there a limit?
Fifty questions a day per workspace, shared by everyone in it. Viewers can ask; nothing is changed by asking.
