CSV export

Every breakdown in Statsy can leave as a CSV, with whatever period, filters and segment you were looking at still applied. It is the answer to "can you send me that in a spreadsheet?"

From the dashboard

Each breakdown card has an Export CSV button in its footer, and so does the full list behind View all. The download is named after your site and the dimension, so a folder of them stays readable.

Tip. Filters apply to the export, so "pages under /blog, from organic search, last 90 days" is three clicks and a download rather than a spreadsheet formula.

What is in the file

Every export carries the dimension value followed by visitors, pageviews, conversions, revenue and customers. Some dimensions add context columns:

• City also carries region and country, and region carries country, so a city list is not ambiguous.
• Post also carries the author, the post text and its URL. See Posts.

An export holds up to 50,000 rows. Two exports can run at once per workspace; a third is asked to wait until one finishes.

The dimension parameter accepts any breakdown dimension — pages, entry and exit pages, referrer host, channel, the UTM fields, country, region, city, device, browser, OS, language, screen, goal, AI source, keyword and post. Range and filter parameters work exactly as they do on the other reports.

A note on spreadsheet safety

Analytics data contains other people's text — referrer URLs, campaign names, page titles — and a spreadsheet will happily execute a cell that starts with =. Statsy escapes any value that begins with =, +, - or @ before writing it, so opening an export cannot run anything.

Taking everything with you

Exports are per breakdown. If you want the whole account, the REST API covers every report the dashboard shows, and you can leave whenever you like with your data. To show numbers to somebody rather than hand over a file, see Sharing.
