Mentions

Mentions lists every public post that names your domain or one of your tracked terms on X, Hacker News and Bluesky, in one inbox. Posts on X that link to your site also show the visitors, sign-ups and revenue they sent, through the same Posts breakdown.

Starting

1. Open Mentions in the sidebar

   Each site tracks its own mentions. The page explains what will be searched before anything runs.

2. Press Start tracking

   The first search runs at once and the page fills as sources answer. Hacker News and Bluesky look back 30 days; X about a week, which is as far as its recent search reaches.

3. Add terms

   Your domain is always tracked. Add a brand, a product name, your handle or a competitor from the strip under the page title.

Owners and editors can start, stop and change tracking. Viewers see the inbox. Tracking pauses with the workspace when a trial ends, and a site past the plan's website count is not searched.

Terms

A term matches as a whole word, case-insensitively, so acme matches "Acme is great" and "acme.test" but not "acmecorp". The domain matches when it is written out or when any link in the post points at it or a subdomain. A term is 2 to 60 characters and cannot contain quotes.

Sources

• X. Searched through the X API with reposts left out. X charges per post read, so each plan includes a monthly number of reads per workspace; a sweep reads at most 100 posts. When the month's reads are used up, the sync line says so and X resumes on the first of the next month. Follower counts are the author's reach.
• Hacker News. Stories and comments through Algolia. Points are shown as reach.
• Bluesky. Public posts, newest first, with follower counts from the author's profile.

Each source can be switched off in Settings on the Mentions page. Check now runs every enabled source at once, with a two-minute cooldown.

X without the platform token. If the server running Statsy has no X API token, the settings dialog offers Connect your X login instead. It takes two cookies from x.com, stores them encrypted, and uses them only to run one search an hour. Nothing is posted, followed or liked. A spare account is safest, since X can lock accounts it sees searching from a server.

The inbox

New posts land in Inbox; the count on the tab is how many nobody has dealt with. Each card has the author, their reach, the post with your terms highlighted, and its likes, reposts and replies. Three actions:

• Star keeps a post in the inbox but marks it as worth coming back to.
• Mark as replied moves it to Replied. Statsy never replies for you; the card links to the post.
• Hide this post or Mute the author moves it to Muted. A muted author's future posts arrive muted. Undo from Settings.

Filter by source, by tracked term, or by any text in the post or author. The period switch covers the last 7, 30 or 90 days and drives the chart of mentions per day by source, the split by source and term, and Loudest voices, the authors with the most reach who posted in the period.

Alerts

On the Alerts page, choose New mention. Set the smallest reach that should notify you (followers on X and Bluesky, points on Hacker News; 0 means everyone) and which sources count. One notice goes out per sweep with up to five posts, and at most one an hour per site. Channels are the usual ones: email, Slack, Discord or a signed webhook.
