Redeem codes
How a STATSY code puts a workspace on a plan without paying, how codes stack, and how to move to a paid plan afterwards.
A redeem code puts a workspace on a plan with no payment. Codes look like STATSY-XXXX-XXXX. They only use letters and digits that are hard to confuse, because codes get read out loud and typed from screenshots.
Redeeming one
Open Account › Billing, find Redeem a code, paste the code and submit. Case and spacing do not matter. Only an owner can redeem, and only from a signed-in session.
A code carries a plan, an event tier and a length. When it works, the banner changes to show the plan, the tier and the date it runs until — or says it has no end date if the code is a lifetime one.
Stacking codes
Redeeming a second code while the first is still running extends from the existing end date rather than from today, so nothing is lost by redeeming early. Once a workspace is on a lifetime code, redeeming a dated code keeps it lifetime.
A code is tied to the plan and tier it was issued for. Redeeming a code for a different tier changes the workspace to that tier.
Codes and paid plans
You can start a paid plan at any time while a code is running. The first charge is scheduled for the day the code ends, so you do not pay twice. On a lifetime code, starting a paid plan begins a normal 14-day trial from that day.
It does not work the other way round. A workspace that already pays for a plan cannot redeem a code: the answer is “This workspace already has a paid plan. Codes can be used before or instead of paying.” A confirmed payment always wins over a grant.
When a code runs out
The workspace moves to the same state as an ended trial: read-only, with data still arriving and nothing deleted. Pick a plan whenever you want, and it all unlocks.
If the code will not take
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| That code is not valid or has already been used | Check for typos, then ask whoever issued it. The same message covers unknown, inactive, expired and fully used codes on purpose, so codes cannot be guessed. |
| This workspace has already redeemed that code | It is already applied. Check the billing banner. |
| This workspace already has a paid plan | Cancel the paid plan first, or use the code on a different workspace. |
| Too many attempts. Try again in an hour. | Redeeming is limited to ten attempts an hour per person. Wait, then try the exact code. |
Tip. Codes apply to a workspace, not to a person. Redeem in the workspace you actually want covered — check the switcher first if you belong to several.
